saw the movie. can't believe it's been 19years since the last one. i loved superman 1-3, but this one, understandably, has better effects. i even like the rubberized-looking suit and the protruding S (although it could have been bigger) and the boxers. the shoes diverted from the original version, they're black but they look great. what i don't understand though is: why did the cam spent too much time focusing on those shoes?

This film is going to be great.some people will bang on about the the casting of brandon routh and the costume design but both are the right choice.for example do you think that nick cage would have been believable as superman,he would have had to wear a wig as hes near bald and anyway no one would believe him when he was "flying".As for the costume design if you look at the chris reeves supe costume is looks very much dated now so a change was needed.just for the record i would like to say that i loved the original superman the movie and thought that superman 2 was very good even though richard lester messed it up somewhat,as for superman 3 is was mostly average and totally different than the previous two movies.superman iv was a embarassment, the whole film should be forgotten.

This is one of those films that you can tell is going to be great just from the trailer. It literally made the hairs of my arm stand up. In reading a few interviews with Bryan Singer, I was very happy to hear that he has basically stayed true to the theatrical version of the Superman character that we all have come to know and love, yet updated him just enough for contemporary times. The movie seems well written, well cast, well directed, and it's heart seems to be in the right place. I can't wait to see it.

hi guys, i think the trailer looks superb, it just stands out from all the others, i loved the music, marlon brandos voice, the lot. yeah brandon routh looks a little young but i dont care he looks a spitting image of christopher reeve as clarke kent, and im sure he will do a better job than dean caine did as superman and that was a huge t.v series, even though that ended up becoming more like a soap opera.
yet to see smallville i heard its great but im gonna wait as alot of u guys said he was perfect for role in the film, ill watch it after and make my own mind up. but lets be thankfull it wasnt brendan ( the mummy) frazier, he would be rubbish as superman.

Brian Singer (The Director) Talked with Tom Welling (Smallville) about taking on this role over a year ago.  Tom didn't want the role, because he didn't want to get typecast.  Brian Singer is a genius, and this movie is going to be fantastic... please if your a Smallville fan (Like me) stop whinning that Tom Welling would be great... he wont be in the movie.  If you don't like that, don't see it.

I loved the Trailer.
I think this movie is going to be good!
Is it just me, or is there something
"GODlike" with this movie?.
In the trailer, superman's father says
"thats why I have sent them you!, my only son!"

It feels like GOD is taking to his Son.
Super = Jusus ?
anyway,I cant wait for the movie to come out

Have to agree the trailer was good just showed enough to get you hooked; I hate it when you see the whole movie or at least the best parts in the trailer.  Anyway anyone want to explain why Tom Welling isn't superman (just seems a bit stupid that he isn't and I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks this)? Also Brandon Routh looks way too young. Maybe when Smallville ends (and logically it has to) and they make another film

I have always been a superhero fan since I was 12 yrs old. Superman was always at the top of my list as the baddest MF to grace comics, TV and movies. I recall one of his comic book battles against the Hulk and the Hulk is smashing away on Superman's chest saying "I am stronger than you... I can move mountains!" and Supe is just standing there with his hands on his hips saying back "You may be able to move mountains but I can move Planets!"... now that still brings chills down my spine at his pure power!
Anyway, the movie trailer looks pretty good and it is interesting that Spacey will play Lex (I think back to the movie "Seven" where it is just a pure evil in his soul, which Lex is all about). I agree with the others about the series "Smallville" which is by far the best show on TV and I will not miss one episode until it is taken off the air (which I hope is never). I like the previous Superman movies with Christopher Reeves (God bless his soul) which were damn good for that day & age. This should bring it to that next level especially with the Smallville series bringing the story into prospective of who Kal-el is and how he came to be. Nice twist where Superman left Earth for 7 years to return... it makes sense and leads into his superhero role nicely without it seeming he went from Smallville to "world savior, as the original story goes.

I can't wait to check this one out!

The trailor is excellent. Costume is great but looks a bit evil, although accents a more serious Superman. Love the leather-like cape. It's not Superman that emulates Neo (Matrix) but rather the other way around (note the reference they make - "hes doing the superman thing"). Good realism in this one... notice the atmosphere burst as he flys through it. The Marlon Brando voice of Jor-El is brilliant. I wouldn't have it any other way.

I was never a big superman fan. Now, after watching Smallville and getting hooked on the show, I think he's awesome. The movie looks good but only a couple of problems. They picked a bad guy to play superman. They should have used Tom Welling from Smallville. Also, the costume looks aweful.

I have to tell you, I hate Superman. buuut, I used to like him when I was a kid and so on, I guess, I'll probbaly end up wathcin this movie. OBVIOUSLY.

The trailer was not bad, didn't show much just like the first trailer of Batman Begins. BUt, the part where superman, comes up into the sky and jets down like a bolt....wasn't it too much like 'neo' doin his superman thing in matrix reloaded. I mean, those guys nailed the superman thingy, so bryan singer could do nothin more to better it. HA ! !

I liked the premise of the story too, a world that has been accustomed to living without superman, sounds interesting, kevin spacey-->Luthor??! !!...yea..well, atleast we have kate bosworth as lois...is she gonna turn brunette, I guess she will,...yea...so long then.
