| | Storyline: | "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe," a spectacular live-action/CGI motion picture adaptation of C.S. Lewis' beloved literary classic. Lewis' timeless adventure follows the exploits of the four Pevensie siblings - Lucy, Edmund, Susan and Peter - in World War II England who enter the world of Narnia through a magical wardrobe while playing a game of 'hide-and-seek' in the rural country home of an elderly professor. Once there, the children discover a charming, peaceful land inhabited by talking beasts, dwarfs, fauns, centaurs and giants that has become a world cursed to eternal winter by the evil White Witch, Jadis. Under the guidance of a nobel and mystical ruler, the lion Aslan, the children fight to overcome the White Witch's powerful hold over Narnia in a spectacular, climactic battle that will free Narnia from Jadis' icy spell forever.

| | To you who want the song from the trailer... I actually found out it is 4 clips of 4 different songs, none of which are in the film. I found all four songs and used a song clipper to cut the parts I needed and I put them together into one song in the order they are in the trailer. They have very brief pauses between them, but it's exactly like the trailer. You can download Limewire and type in narniatrailer into the song box and it should come up. Enjoy! E-mail me and I might be able to send the song directly to you. | | This text refers to the Chronicles of Narnia, The: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe Theatrical Edition |

| I have the original '79 cartoon and have loved it since I first saw it as a child...I can't wait to see it live action....well this one anyway. I didn't much care for the BBC miniseries.
By the way....that war was always there and that huge battle.....I don't get where people are saying LOTR rip off at all | | This text refers to the Chronicles of Narnia, The: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe Theatrical Edition |

| | look, im not saying this to piss anyone off, but this goes to "marcus mead" down at the bottom. ok dude.....did you actually read the book? of coarse there's a huge battle at the end...it's in the book. i mean, narnia doesn't have a population of 10...it's a whole country...with a population to boot. and the movie wasn't a rip of lotr. really, only two scenes were changed at all near the beginning because nothing was happening in the book. really, it wasn't even that big of a change...they just added a little suspense. i dont know why people keep trying to compare this to lotr anyway. ya, lewis and tolkien were friends and the books were written for the same purpose--to write contemporary christian stories. to be completely honest, i'm surprised nobody has tried to sue jackson or adamson yet for "offending" them. it's pretty sad that in a country of tolerance and acceptance, christianity is the only religion being shoved to the corner. funny that it's the very same religion that founded the country. | | This text refers to the Chronicles of Narnia, The: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe Theatrical Edition |

| | to the person who posted the comment saying the publishers didn't know what they were doing in changing the order...ok, i don't feel like pissing people off, but lewis agreed that the new order was the preferrable order to read. i do, however, think it was an extremely wise decision to put out the lion the witch and the wardrobe before the magicians nephew because watching certain stories backwards makes them more retrospective, much in the same way star wars episodes 1,2, and 3 are more entertaining when watched AFTER episodes 4,5, and 6, even though they were released A LOT later. plus, it's been proven that watching movies out of order makes viewers think more because they can then connect the dots...unless of coarse you've read the books...but then you should already appreciate them anyway lol. | | This text refers to the Chronicles of Narnia, The: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe Theatrical Edition |

| The movie is fantastic, go see it. It surpasses all past attempts to bring the book to life, IMHO.
BTW, in 1957 after the Last Battle was published, C.S. Lewis wrote the Narnian timeline and this is the chronological order (along with the year of publishing) of the books; the order in which the author agreed they should be read:
Magician's Nephew (1955) The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (1950) The Horse and His Boy (1954) Prince Caspian (1951) The Voyage of the Dawn Treader (1952) The Silver Chair (1953) The Last Battle (1956)
I can understand why Disney chose to go with LWW first, much more action and adventure, and they are hoping the momentum will carry the MN as a prequel. Damn marketing execs.

| He's right people, stop complaining about the order. C.S. Lewis originally wrote and published them in the following order (which I personally believe is the correct order): 1. Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe 2. Prince Caspian 3. Voyage of the Dawn Treader 4. Silver Chair 5. Horse and His Boy 6. Magician's Nephew 7. Last Battle Then for some reason, some publisher came along and decided they knew better than Lewis and published them chronologically: 1. Magician's Nephew 2. Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe 3. Horse and His Boy 4. Prince Caspian 5. Voyage of the Dawn Treader 6. Silver Chair 7. Last Battle I couldn't tell you why they did it, they are definitely better read in the correct order, as that was how he wrote them, but they decided to do it that way anyway.
Now, about the movie. First of all, how can you say people wouldn't like the "first 2" as much? The Magician's Nephew and Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe were two of my favorites, with Prince Caspian up there with them. Battles and action aren't everything, you know. This really does look like it's going to do the book justice, and I really hope it does. | | This text refers to the Chronicles of Narnia, The: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe Theatrical Edition |

| | "The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe" is the first book. I have an old set that I got about 20 years ago in which it is number 1 and "The Magicians Nephew" is number 6. However many years ago publishers changed "The Magicians Nephew" to number one in order because its story is technically first in chronology. But I prefer reading them in the original order. I really don't like how they changed things from how they originally were. | | This text refers to the Chronicles of Narnia, The: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe Theatrical Edition |

| Someone here said that the books 3- 7 where the best one, and i do realy deissagree!! I think book 2 ( and movie i hope) is the best one. Book two is the book who has got the best magic. Maybe since it was the first wrote, i dont know. Just that it has the most magical feeling. It has the Narnia feeling as i think the most people know of. Allso a reason to that they did not make a movie out of the first Narnia book is that I think they are kinda making the movies of Narnia for the reason that we shal forget the bad tv-serials. If C.S. Lewis was alive and knew hot the tv serials wold be, he wold not let them make them. I am sure-

| I take ofense to anyone who will say this is a knock off of Lord of the Rings! Some are saying that its very convieniant how there's a war taking place and two sides rushing at eachother looks a lot like something from The Lord of the Rings, and the fait of the world being at stake is a dead ringer but it is not a knock off, the book was written just like every other book is written, through inspiration and thr writters own image and to say it's a knock off just because a war takes place and because of the time at which the movie is going to be released is offensive and close minded. The book was great and I for one am glad there is a movie, I think it will be equally as wonderful as Lord of the Rings and will be enjoyed by many regardless of any resemblance it may carry. | | This text refers to the Chronicles of Narnia, The: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe Theatrical Edition |

| Hmm, maybe this movie will help me recover from not being able to look forward to Lord of the rings! I mean, It's filmed partially in New Zeland, and with Richard Taylor behind it it can't be to bad... Besides C.S. Lewis was a wonderful author and friend of Tolkien's. I can't wait!!!! | In my oppinion the film looks like its goign to be amazing. I like the fact that Wetta are doing teh special effects ( i am a big fan of The Lord of the Rings) i think that they did such a wonderful job creating all the things they did for the trilogy and i think this film is going to be just as imence. I watched The lion teh witch and the wardrobe as a child ( teh cartoon version) and i have seen the film version (bbc) but err...i think that was SHIT! This is goign to be sooo much better and i cant wait for it to be released xx scaz xx | | This text refers to the Chronicles of Narnia, The: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe Theatrical Edition |

| It looks like they have adapted this movie to make a knock-off of the Lord of the Rings. I have little hope after viewing the trailer. Goblins? Huge armies running at each other? And where did all those extra Sons of Adam come from? Right...
Although Lewis and Tolkin were friends, the stories really are different, as anyone who has actually cracked the covers can tell you. It's too bad the movies couldn't reflect that. | The trailer looks fantastic, it seems Andrew Adamson will not let the fans down. The music fits with the richness of the novel and how it has aged throughout generations, the colours and footage in the trailer fits perfectly into what i imagined the updated version would become. very pleased. It said in the trailer "the Chronicles begin" but this isnt the 1st in the series are they making the whole 7 seven books? i think they should but the first two arent exacatly action packed and i cant see people enjoying them as much as book 3-7 . | | This text refers to the Chronicles of Narnia, The: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe Theatrical Edition |
