| Batman Begins is a good movie at best, not a perfect movie. No disrespect to all you batman fans, but Batman Begins is far from being the best superhero movie. Heres why.
1) It lacked what all superhero fans (except maybe Batman fans) want in a true superhero flick. In a superhero movie we want to see what we can only see in a movie. It lacked true superhero mythology. It didnt make me smile like say Spiderman or Superman.
2) The action was pathetic. Action that bland belongs in a James Bond movie, not Batman, the world greatest detective. Come on people.
3) What the hell was Katie Holmes doing in this movie. She was just an obstruction. She was not supposed to be there. Period.
Dont get me wrong, this movie was good, it just is not the best. The way I see, fans have been waiting so long after Joel Schumacher massacred the franchise, that anything better will seem as if it is the best. It isnt. Batman Begins is not the best Batman movie, let alone the best superhero movie. | | This text refers to the Batman 5: Batman Begins Theatrical Edition |

| | It's not the fifth episode of Batman. It's a new movie. The first episode of a new Batman series. | | This text refers to the Batman 5: Batman Begins Theatrical Edition |

| | Finally, a movie that resembles the batman of the comicbooks. Finally someone figured out that batman is not a joke and that it is a movie based on darkness, pain, evil, and anger. | | This text refers to the Batman 5: Batman Begins Theatrical Edition |

| The story is as good an origin story as you'll find - covering all the major (true-to-the-comic) events, and not wasting ages on them. We see Wayne's all-important training period (previously ignored), and his connection to the Tibetan shadow-ninja clan led by Ra's Al Ghul. We see Bruce come up with ideas for his symbol, his costume, his gadgets, his car, his cave - IT ALL FITS SO PERFECTLY.
There is some humour, but it's fairly dry. The soundtrack, like all the best original soundtracks, is excellent - you hardly know it's there, but the emotions of the scene are enhanced and boosted. For the most part this is a serious Batman film, with plenty for long-time fans. This NEW Batman is one I'd like to see again. Bravo Mr Nolan, bravo. | | This text refers to the Batman 5: Batman Begins Theatrical Edition |
