the thing I don't get is how a bunch of particle things from space made some guy be able to catch on fire, or some girl become invisible.  In all realisticness, the only thing that would probably result would be radiation posioning and possible genetic mutation causing cancer.  other than that whole thing i want to watch it.  stupid movies are the most enjoyable as long as you switch your brain off.

First of all: did the ppl who say Johnny didn't go full flame see the same trailer the rest of us did?!
As for the movie: Just from the trailers alone I suspect this film will outshine both Spider-Man and The X-Men!  Tomorrow can't come soon enough!

Alot of you people complain too much.  Especially saying the "Thing" looks ridiculous, no he doesn't.  What do you want, I think he looks pretty good.  He's suppossed to look rocky like that.  If you want to talk about ridiculous look at the Green Goblin from Spider-Man.  But, still that is very minor.

This goes to all who complain they aren't following the storyline.  Who cares, the story is so huge for all the marvel movies it can't be followed to the letter.  Dr. Doom may not be their first villian, but he is one of the best ones they fought which is prob why they went with him.

I don't really remember them refering to all of them as white anglo-saxons so who cares if alba is cast and she is latin.

And yes, the human torch does go to full body flame.  Well atleast in one trailer he does.  In one trailer, he dives off a building and flies after a missile and goes fully flamed.
I highly doubt that they are that stupid to not make him go fully flamed up, that would dissapoint alot of people.

From what I've seen it looks great so far, they've never messed up any movie they've made so far.  So, having said that, why would they mess this up.  Don't nit pick every detail, just  go see the movie, then if you still think it sucks fine.  But wait till you know for sure, and stop raggin on something until you see it.

i hope they play the teaser trailer with "Counting Bodies Like Sheep to the Rytham of the War Drums" from "eMOTIVe" originaly known as "PET" and "LULLABY" from "THIRTEENTH STEP" by "aPerfectCircle" in the cinemas internationaly and not just in america with "Passive" (also from eMOTIVe) apearing in _Constantine_, and "Judith "Renholder" mix" from rEMIXED (audio cd from aPerfectCircle aMOTION DVD pack) apearing in _Underworld_, there getin some reall good puplicity in all these great imaginative movies where there type of music should be. where ever movies come from, comics or some random guys short story, there just great feats of imagination, film and music!

I think the studio and Stan all know what they are doing. Just shut up and watch the movie. Then bitch about it. My god you haven't even seen it yet. I saw an earlier post that sums you idiots up perfectly. The Comic Book Guy from the Simpsons. Now go back to your parents basement and admire you collection of still packaged comic memoribilia

Actually, the song is "Counting Bodies" or, "Counting Bodies Like Sheep to the Rhythm of the War Drums" NOT "Pet" though they are both by A Perfect Circle. Listen to them both, and "Counting Bodies" will surely sound just like the song in the Fantastic Four trailer.

The song IS indeed by A Perfect Circle, but it is not called "Counting Bodies". It is titled "Pet" and you can find it on their album "The Thirteenth Step". Hope that helps some of you out! Also, we all know that no movie of comic origin is ever true to the story line, obviously because they need to make it appeal to a wider audience than just comic readers and fans. This movie will be as close as they can get I'm sure and it doesn't look like any sort of disappointment to me judging by the trailer. Take it easy and if you want a movie that is 100% accurate, you just have to make it yourself for your own enjoyment.

What is it with sad fanboys who insist on giving us all bad names?  I have loved the four for 25 years now, own a ton of comics, and love the look of the film.  All those who say The Thing is wrong...go read the early issues!!  As for the younger look....the film was inspired more by the new Ultimate FF comic book...perhaps you may have heard of it?  It is only the best interpretation of the 4 to date!  From the sounds of it hlf of the so-called fans who post here haven't ventured into a comic book store for about 15 years!

Grow up...get a life...deal with it!  You were all bitching like this before X-Men (the suits are wrong...where's gambit....no ice man).  Sheesh...do you all have to be comic-book-guy from the Simpsons?

The movie looks decent.  Won't really know until plot and acting come into play, but the visuals are good.  The Thing getting hit by the rig lookes great!  Is the Torch going to be an orange "wood" flame or a blue "gas" flame?

The maturity level, or lack there of, of some people in this thread is amazing.

Roger Corman's unrealeased FF movie from '94 was faithful to the comic book. "modernizing" the uniforms and looks of the characters for the new movie is a huge mistake in my opinion.
I hope I'm wrong, but I think the 2 million spent in '94 may wind up making a better FF movie than the 20 plus spent on the new one.
